50-pin SMT connectors for high-density communication/consumer applications

The surface mount Board-to-Board connectors of series 085009MA (male header) and 085010FA (female header) are available with standard 50 pins in a 0.5mm contact pitch and provide a mating height of 3.0mm. For volume projects additional pin counts and mating heights can be supplied. Because of their high pin count and their compact contact pitch they are ideal board-to-board connectors for applications in communication and consumer electronic like cordless phones, PDAs, LCDs, Notebooks, digital cameras, wireless modules, camcorder.

The Cost Saver: Compression Connector for Direct Board Contact

Innovative 40-pin SUYIN one-piece connector in 1.0mm pitch

SUYIN introduces a one-piece compression connector 100100MA that provides low-cost printed circuit board stacking by reducing the number of components required to be purchased and processed. The 40-pin SMT connector realizes a space-saving contact pitch of 1.0mm and is mating via spring contacts directly to the parallel PCB. The component includes a polarisation key (approx. 6 mm L x 2 mm W x 3 mm H) on the centre of the top side fitting into a cut out of the contacting PCB. When mating the PCBs the polarisation key secures an optimum contact-to-pad placement during and after the automatic placement. On customer request additional pin numbers for volume projects will be supplied. SUYIN plans to release the compression connector to mass production around end of October.

These connectors are finding use in a wide area of space-/cost- and weight-optimized applications like mobile phones, ITK (Information- and Telecommunications Technology) and industrial applications.
